Objective

The Analyst Selection folio was designed for investors seeking high capital appreciation potential with volatility and asset turnover generally higher than the overall U.S. equity market.

Strategy

The Analyst Selection folio consists of stocks with the strongest buy ratings from equity analysts covering the respective stocks.

Analysts rate equities on a numerical scale from 1 (strongest buy rating) to 5 (strongest sell rating). In other words, the closer a stock’s rating is to 1, the more strongly analysts recommend buying that stock. Note that markets and economic conditions can change quickly, and well-liked companies can quickly go out of favor.

* Returns reflect unfunded model performance from the Inception Date to the present. Your returns may deviate significantly from the values displayed here, due to many factors, including how long after a strategy has been updated that you place orders to update your holdings. No membership or trading fees (other than the indirect cost of the bid-ask spread applicable whenever a transaction is conducted) are included in reported performance.

Note: Tickers and weights for RTG Folios are only available when logged in.

Steps to Create This Folio

  1. We examined buy ratings by Wall Street equity analysts for the largest 500 securities ranked by market capitalization as reported by Zacks Investment Research.
  2. We then selected the 30 stocks with the strongest buy rating and therefore, the lowest average score.
  3. We equally weighted all securities in the folio.

Number of Securities

There are generally 30 securities in this folio.

Update Frequency

Monthly.

If the characteristics of the Folio have changed substantially, the securities included may change. Also, corporate actions, such as a merger, or other events may cause changes to the securities held at any time. Your returns may deviate significantly from the values displayed here, due to many factors, including how long after a folio has been updated that you place orders to update your holdings. RTGs are updated using market data from multiple sources including Zacks Investment Research ( www.zacks.com ), International Data Corporation (IDC) ( www.idc.com ), and other suppliers.
